With deep sadness, our client the Mcallister/Young family lost their 2yr old son Jaylen this past Thursday to his fight with cancer. Our prayers to the family. Jaylen is now in Heaven, where there is no pain. We have made the final arrangements for the family, and services will be this week. Family Face book is "Live Strong for Jaylen".
The Artists 4 Amy foundation continues to receive requests for families in need. At present we are working a family where the 5 year old boy, Kai, needs a very specialized surgery in order to preserve his future ability to walk. The estimated cost after insurance is around $20,450. We also have a family of a 16 year girl, Emily with Desmoid tumors. She needs additional treatments, transportation to UCLA, CA and possibly surgery. We have contacted the family of a 7yr old girl who needs a heart transplant, and awaiting details on what assistance is needed.
Thank you for all your support and kindness in assisting Artists 4 Amy in making Mackenzie's Disney Dream Trip come true. The Mackenzie Stuck family had a wonderful time in Disney. To keep abreast of Mackenzie's condition, please visit www.caringbridge.org.
Please remember that the vast majority of families caring for these seriously ill children lack the sufficient financial, emotional and family support resources to help them in their time of need.
As The Artists 4 Amy Foundation has become better known, it is getting more requests for assistance that demands a greater amount of money.
So, we need your help. If you would be interested in becoming a volunteer, or make donations of children's toys, furniture or clothing, or have items that can be re-gifted as door prizes, please send an email to info@artists4amy.org.
Along with your donations through this website we are continuing our Artists 4 Amy Summer Concert Fundraiser Series. We have started back up on July 11 and continuing all the way thru the end of September, on Sundays at the Hard Rock Cafe, in Baltimore. All events are family friendly, with 50/50 raffles and door prizes, along with good food and good music. See our 'Special Events' tab for the schedule.
Thank you for your continued support,
Tony and Sylvia Poore
The Artists 4 Amy Foundation
Caring for a sick child places tremendous emotional, physical and financial strain on a family.
As owner of Shooting Star Studios, I have partnered with our artists, clubs, venues and music industry associates to raise funds through our concerts, CD & Video projects, merchandise and donations so that we can assist families caring for a pediatric cancer patient with their financial needs. We at Artists 4 Amy have created a non-bureaucratic, no red tape and importantly, a non embarrassing way for people in need to obtain financial assistance.
This assistance includes but is not limited to household bill relief, prescription assistance, transportation to medical appointments or treatments, auto repairs, babysitting and child care expenses or even an X Box for a child who will be house bound for an extended period of time.
Although our mission is intended for pediatric cases, if funding exists, we will consider assisting families caring for an adult.
Thank you for taking the time to view our website. If you know a family in need, please do not hesitate to direct them to us. Please consider making a donation or volunteering at Artists 4 Amy. If each of us does just one small part, BIG things can be accomplished.
Thank You,
Anthony & Sylvia Poore
